Hi Guys, Borrowed a friend's 742B with gas engine. Running pretty rough. The points are burned. I'm installing new points, rotor, condenser and plugs this evening. Its been over 20 years since I've timed an engine and I've never timed a bobcat (mitsubishi engine) As I recall, you typically want to set the engine to a certain RPM and then check the timing. Anyone know if I need to set the RPM on this and if so what RPM? Are there timing marks on the flywheel and anyone know what this thing should be timed at? Something like 4 - 6 degrees before top dead center? Thanks!
