sprocket grease

You would think a shot of grease on the sprokets every so often would help with wear, idlers too.Any ideas or anyone do this ?

The biggest problem I see with that plan is the grease will attract and hold dirt and grit which will actually speed up the wear rate. I would think a regular cleaning and power wash would be the best way to lengthen the life span.

I would have to agree, grease holds dirt and will defiantly cause more wear.
