I have a meyers snow plow off a truck. I want to mount it on an old bucket or something and use it on my bobcat. has anyone did this before? any pics?

I mounted one for my buddy's skid steer. He welded his grapple bucket tio the mounting plate--which worked out well for the added weight up front. All I did was raise the bucket off the ground about 4", slid the truck plow with it's A frame up against the inside back of the bucket making sure the plow A frame sat level to the ground just as it would if mounted on a truck. Then I centered the plow mounting ears left to right in the bucket, marked where the ears touched the bucket, and removed the plow. Then I bought two U-shaped trailer spring hangers as brackets (you could make two brackets out of anything), welded them in place--no welder? Simply bolt them in place with 3/4" Grade 8's. You'll likely want down pressure for the plow too---weld another U bracket near the bucket cutting edge and run a small length of chain up to the A frame. Put a bolt or pin through the bottom of the chain at the bracket. You will have to decide what length of chain yields the best result for you for overall down pressure. Next, add longer lines from the pivot cylinders up to the aux. connectors. One line for each cylinder--that's all that is needed. Reinstall the plow to the brackets and go make us some money! I liked my buddy's installation so much I made one for mine larger machine, only I made mine rigid like a dozer on a dedicated mounting plate. I use it year round--great for backblading a gravel road or pushing debris into burn piles. My machine is a 2-speed --it really needs a snow deflector to keep the snow from blowing up and over the plow and onto the cab window.
