Hi, thanks again, I have not been able to get to work on the machine this week but hopefully I will be able to bring it up to my place later in the week to work on. I will certainly look at the limiters as the engine rev's appear quite okay. I know there are two bolts on each side of the linkages that join to the steering arms through the wall and I was going to check them as well in case they had been spread apart causing the limitation of speed similar to your allen screw limiter. My machine is an "F" series and I know it was made in 1999 but I am not sure of the month or even if they show a month on the plate.

I may try and get a chance to see what my S150 does on the weekend. Its essentially the same pump and motor setup.oops, just saw your end line, still working on it.

Hi Tazza, I hope you have good weather for this weekend so you can test your speed, looking forward to hearing what it does. I have yet to get mine off the truck but I intend to change the bucket from the 4 in 1 to a standard one to check to see if the hydraulic oil quantity in the system has anything to do with the speed. I do not have a clue if that is a possibility or not as I have not yet looked at the was the system works but when I had the 4 in 1 bucket disconnected hydraulicly but still on the machine, it appeared to run faster. The bucket won't do anything. Oil moves it opens or closes a cylinder, nothing more. Also, the hydraulic pump is seperate. Thanks Tazza, I figured it was just my imagination but I am also short on time and had not looked at the basic mechanism. I hopefully will get some time to go through the basics after I finished the mountain of paperwork that I have to get done.The bucket won't do anything. I don't think so Tazza, mine gives me a mph reading even when walking but it's a older one. Maybe the rops structure blocks some of the signal. I have to try this today.I only got 6kph, i wonder if its because its too slow to get an accurate reading with it.
Hi Tazza, Makes mine seem like its a race car then as it goes between 7 to 8 KPH. Thanks for trying, I will have to try Jerry's idea of putting it outside the cage, that is gonna be fun trying to mount it lol. Ron ,my New Holland goes 5.7 mph and 8 kph at 2400rpm. Two different runs so the numbers may not translate accurately. I don't think the cage affects much but it does not react as quickly as when I walk and hold it. I was thinking of hanging it off the roof of the cage so I can see it but outside enough not have reception or interruption issues. I agree the cafe should not affect it but it is worth a go. When I walked and held it the response was within 20 feet but in the machine, I laid it on the door threshold, it took at least 50 feet to start showing and was slow in gaining although the machine was at top speed. the newholland book says 7.5 mph but they are running it at 3000 rpm. will try again with help.I wonder if the trees did it too, It tok a little while to start giving me a speed, but eventually did.
