I think the sight glass for showing the level of hydraulic fluid in my 742 B is glazed over. Not too long after I bought it (10 yrs ago) I drained the fluid and replaced it all, using the capacity specs in the manual. I couldn't tell then, and still can't see a fluid level thru the glass, but that would be the case if it were low or over-full. The machine runs fine, all the hydraulic functions work perfectly, and there are no leaks. When moved to check the level, I use a 4 ft bamboo stick which goes in at an angle, but the level is obvious. Should I just consider that if it ain't broke, don't fix it, or is there a way of recovering visibility through the glass?
