I purchased this pounder for $1000. It was a Dan Haueser trailer mounted pounder that used a engine to run it.
I converted it by taking a small hydraulic motor and attaching to to a chain that runs a wheel on the back of the C-channel. After that I made a frame to mount it to the skidsteer. It had to be heavy enough to take the abuse, still allow it side to side movement, and able to rest vertical.
I started with 3x3x 3/16" square steel I welded up the frame and the top pounder mount. Then I used 2x2x 3/16" square for the legs and fashioned brackets so I could lock it in the resting or work position.
It works great and since its skidsteer mounted I can reach higher to pound in steel pipe pipe for corral. You can also flip the channel around and use it break concrete.
All in all a great attachment all she needs is a little paint and it will look great.
