Alright. Thank you. I agree with you. Most people use a machine to flush systems. This setup works wonders but lacking volume on this application. Solvent and air at 160psi pounded through multiple times until the system is clean. I've done about 5 flush bombs thus far.metal is still coming. In theory though the oil from the cooler goes directly to the hyd filter?.. So if you got 99% out the last bit will be filtered before its returned. Every other line has beens back flushed. What does a guy do about the Rams? As for the motors they will be great to wear or marking on them pieces. Thanks again Dan
I remove lines and work the cylinders back and forth. Not going to get every last drop of the system out. That's why I drain and fill the system two to three times before putting it back in service. Don't forget to clean the tank out.

Thanks. I flushed the tank before I put the charge pump on. Will flush it again just to make sure. You guys that work on these things day in and out. I give you props. You deserve 50 an hr.

From what i remember, the oil flow actually goes through the cooler then through the filter. If there are any particles in the cooler, the filter will catch them. Am i wrong with how the oil flows?
Any metal in the lines, hoses, cylinders or motors can be an issue. I agree that you need to flush everything. I actually did this on a few burnt machines. I took the lines off and blew pieces of foam with solvent through the lines. Just air and solvent will not pick up all the particles in the lines.
