S150 with about 400 hrs. I'm getting an intermittent shutdown with a code of 14-02, Fuel Shutoff Pull Coil Error On. I've had this problem for 6 months or so but now I'm getting tired of it so I thought I would try to fix it before the machine gets stuck somewhere. Them machine starts and runs fine but after it gets hot, about 45 minutes to an hour I may get the alarm and the machine shuts down. It will typically refire immediately and sometimes the alarm will reoccur within a couple of minutes and other times I can work for another hour or so and not have the alarm occur. I ohm"ed the solenoid and both the pull and hold coils show the correct values. I did notice that both coils share a common ground path and I'm thinking that if internally the ground connection "opens up" then the hold voltage will "feed back" on the pull coil wire and the computer will detect it and shut the machine down. I removed the solenoid ground wire while the machine was running and I was surprised that the machine didn't shut down. The solenoid must also get a ground from it being bolted to the engine. Oh I also swapped out the relay just in case. No difference. So should I just go ahead and purchase a new solenoid and try it or are there other tests I should do? If a new solenoid is in order, is there an internet source that's cheaper than a Bobcat dealer. Dealer said a new solenoid was some where around $125.00- $130.00. I checked with a Kubota tractor dealer but he couldn't come up with a part #. Don't know if the Kubota dealer would be cheaper. Thanks for your help!
