Im looking for some advice im contemplating buying a s300 with 500hrs on it but it had a fire i know it will be a lot of work but but should i run or take on the project
What would ur definition of cheap beIf its cheap, REALLY cheap it may be worth it depending on how bad the fire was and what is burnt up.
Does it have foot controls or all hand controls? i wouldn't even think of touching it if it has hand controls.

Depending on how bad the fire was, i'd look at what i could potentially part it out for..20 a #
I chickened out looked at it and it was a basket case nothing I don't think was salvagble not a single wire left on it or a hose for that matterDepending on how bad the fire was, i'd look at what i could potentially part it out for.
Cab if not trashed, say $500. Engine if still all intact, no signs of water or fire damage say $3k. Its no doubt a turbo engine, if its damaged you will be up for a few pennies. The pump and drive motors would be good to someone, but not something that is really sought after.
A user just bought an S300 in fully working order for what was it, $11,700?
Wiring harnesses, depending on what ones are bad will run you probably $1,000. Computer about the same IF its damaged, it may be fine. Genuine spares will add up quickly.
I wouldn't want to pay much more than i feel i could get for the major spares, 4k? Its more than they would get for scrap but i'm cheap![]()
Yeah, let it go then, unless you can get it for say 1k then part it out and scrap the rest.I chickened out looked at it and it was a basket case nothing I don't think was salvagble not a single wire left on it or a hose for that matter
