Oil flows out of dipstick tube on 853?

For some time now I had noticed that I had SOME oil leaking from the top of my dipstick tube. I assumed this only happened when I was going up or down a pretty steep incline and was normal. Today I decided to start the 853 on a level surface and I pulled the dipstick while the engine was running. A continuous flow of oil came out of the top of the tube. Anyone know if this is normal?

If your lucky its just a clogged crankcase breather pipe. If not then a cylinder compression test will tell you if you have serious problems like cranked rings, very worn cylinders or a hole in a piston. I hate to say it but in most cases its a hole in a piston when you're creating that much crankcase pressure.

Isn't it normal to get oil coming out if you remove the dipstick while the engine is running? You will have a small amount of bloy-by plus the crankshaft spinning around will sling oil all around too.
How tight is the dip stick in the tube? it should be a good fit, not all sloppy.

I wouldn't say it is loose. Doesn't wiggle when fully inserted

Sounds like a good fit then. Does the breether tube vent to the engine bay or is it plumbed back to the inlet? If its external, you can see how much gas/air/smoke is coming out. There shouldn't be a lot, but there will be some. If there is a lot, as OldMachinist pointed out, it could be exhaust leakage from a damaged piston.

Sorry to state the obvious, but this happened to me on my 763 when I bought it used. Had oil seeping out of the dipstick a little. The dip stick was king of loose / sloppy but nothing out of the ordinary for its age. The oil level on the stick was a bit over the full mark too. So, I changed the oil to see what the volume actually was. Supposed to be 7 quarts in it. There was 9 quarts and that was before replacing the filter. After replace the filter, I refilled with correct amount, the stick was at the half full mark but it hasn't seeped since... wonder if it was the correct stick??

My breather tube actually does have quite a bit coming out of it. Because of that I plumbed it back into the inlet. The unit overheated a few months ago. A radiator hose blew and I was out of coolant in the blink of an eye. I suppose the rings could have eaily been damaged then.
