NH LX665 Turbo. Very Very Jerky

Hi all, My New Holland LX665 Turbo has a jerking problem. This is what it does. At half throttle and up it will violently start shaking, the handles will just start flying back and forth. You can let go of them and it still does it, the only way to get it to stop is to idle it down. Its much worse when you have a load and the boom is up. It started doing it this past year, but i just thought it was me. But now it has gotten much worse and its not the operator. When letting the glow plugs warm it up and light with a gear and oil starts flashing, but the oil is all clean and up to its proper level. Any help would be appreciated.

Flip your seat up and look at the yellow plate that is above the hydro pumps and directly below the seat when the seat is down. At the back of the plate there is a bolt with a spring that goes trough this plate and into the bell housing of the engine. At the front of the plate there are two plastic bushings held in place by two screws each. The screws go in from the top so the plastic bushings are under the plate. Either the screws are loose or have fallen out completely. This will cause the problem you are describing.
The other possible area could be the arms, that are clamped to the hydro pumps below this yellow plate, could be loose. Also there are either rollers are round blocks attached to these levers, two each, make sure none are missing.

okay, this weekend i will take look under the seat and check the bushing and stuff. If its not that what else should i ripe apart? This thing must get fixed, i cant stand it.

I am sure you will find the plastic bushings, guide blocks, missing or not attached. When the screws come out of the bushings the yellow plate no longer moves striaght back and forth and has no support on the front end. This causes the plate to move back and forth, when a handle is stroked, causing severe jerkiness and handles trying to move everywhere. I guess it is also possible that the rear bolt with the spring is broke which would cause similar problems, though I have never heard of it happening.
The arms under the yellow plate are clamped to the hydro pump shafts with a 3/8" bolt. Be sure they are tight. Also check the rollers or round blocks attached to these arms.
The charge pressure light and engine oil pressure light, mentioned in the original post, is on a time delay. After the key is on for a certain period of time the lights will come on. Usually the time is longer than the preheat cycle. There is nothing wrong as long as the lights go out after startup and do not come on during operation.

I had the same problem with my 665. I took it to the New Holland dealer and they could not find anything wrong with it (as far as worn parts). When I ran it I had to brace my hands against the sides to stop the jerking. I had 1700 hrs. on it and the tires were solid fill and pretty much bald. So I sold it to a guy I knew pretty cheap. A couple months later I ran into him and asked him how it was doing. He said that he took it to the same dealer and was told to replace the tires. He said that fixed it. I only have his word on that but when I saw your post I had to tell my story.

There is no jerkyness going forward without a load, but reverse there will be a little little bit when you just let go of the handles. Once i got some weight on it, it would do it again. I finally ripped into it 2 days ago, there was 2 loose bolts under the yellow plate, under the seat. When you moved the left side handle it that plate would move a good deal, after tightening it all up it no longer shakes. It was 2 stupid bolts that came loose. Thanks for the help!
