New to skid steers, first one. Question: is it somewhat normal to operate at wide open throttle to avoid a Hydraulic failure code and 30 second shutdown ? Anything less than 2/3 throttle shuts the machine down. Too late now, but what are the differences between the L865 and LX865 ? Just curious. John

It is possible that the charge pressure is low. However, the most likely cause is the charge pressure switch. Lift the seat and when looking at the two hydro pumps attached to the back of the engine, you will see two steel lines coming out of the top of the pumps and crossing over to the other pump. Looking from the front the right pump has a tee fitting attahce to these cross over lines and attached to this fitting is a hose. Follow the hose to the charge pressure switch.

Thank you Mike. Guess it's time to know my machine.
