I just traded my T200 that I have run for the last 2 years for a 2009 S185 and just wanted to tell everyone that even though the loader is smaller that I had almost fogoten how much fun a wheeled machine is vs a track loader and not to mention way cheaper to maintain. Has anybody running an S185 or 773 had any trouble that I should watch out for with these loaders . Also I was wondering if the kubotas start as well as the duetz do in the cold.

I've never had the deutz, but the kubotas start pretty well. I have a block heater on mine but it will start without it down to @ +5 far. with 10/30 motor oil in it. I try to plug it in if it gets colder then that. Mechaincally its been a good machine though I have had some trouble with the water temp guage that caused me to buy a new computer and instument panel and I still have the false over heats showing on the guage sometimes.
I'm sure you will like the s185 It may start a little poorer too, often turbocharged engines have a lower mechanical compression ratio, resulting in poorer starting in theory.
The 853 I had with the Isuzu was the best starting diesel I ever owned. If it turned over any kind of resonalble speed on the start it would fire right up. Barely needed the glow plugs enen in Canada.
Enjoy your new loader
