I;m pretty sure its on the right side(as if sitting in cab) near rear wheel,, I believe the boom has to be in the lock UP position to remove the battery too!
without boom up you may not get the side cover off, lift the boom and lock up, open read door, the battery is behind cover, this is why I added a pair of cables to charge or boos if battery went dead.
