My brother inlaw bought a new holland that the previous owner put a Thermoking/isuzu in,(c201) The throttle SUCKS on it. I don't think it is hooked up right, the governor won't pick up the load, and just bogs down, I know it's not a VS governor, but I would think it would work on full throttle setting. Anyone done one of these swaps and had any luck with the throttle/governor?

Unless the governor was actually modified, you will not get full VS range and governed control. Generator and refrig compressor applications us a fixed low rpm governed speed. To get full revs with power and governor control, the fly weights need to be decreased in number or total weight. OR the spring they work against needs to be stiffer. Weight is inverse to speed and spring load is in direct proportion to speed. To make system VS, the spring needs to be variable. Good luck.
