So we've been rebuilding our oldest 553 Bobcat over the past year. Tore this thing down to every last nut and bolt. Currently been working on the cab. Been to and from Bobcat 100 times ordering various parts and hunting down different things online and I've finally been stumped.

The 2 side windows on the machine that slide open and close have a felt/carpet like insert that goes into the window itself like a "U" shape that allows the windows to slide back and forth on the track. There is no rubber in this seal from what I can tell. It almost looks like a carpet material lined with felt. Along with many many other parts the aluminum widow tracks themselves have been replaced because the windows didn't slide anymore. The windows themselves are fine and can be cleaned up but I need to replace the sliding insert part that goes around it. It pulled out fairly easy so I'm guessing that I can press in or glue a new one in there. It seems like one of those things like most of the gaskets I've dealt with that could be ordered by the foot. But I can not find them on the bobcatpartsonline.com website or any 3rd party website. I've even checked window places. I could order 2 whole new windows which probably have them in there already but that could be close to $500 when I only really need to just replace the sliding seals. Bobcat or whatever manufacturer that makes these must get this weather strip sliding material from somewhere.

Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

I'll include some pictures below to show what I'm talking about...

There is a picture showing the strip half in the track.
A picture of the strip removed showing the empty track along with the other window below it with the strip still in the other window.
A picture of the whole strip I pulled out on the table showing it's one piece.
A picture of looking down into the strip where it would ride the track.
A picture of the backside of the strip showing it looks like carpet almost.

Still looking. Incase anyone can point me in the right direction.
These are the closest things I've found to even resembling what I'm looking for and they aren't even the right size.
One of them is 3/8" but not sure if it's the same felt like track and if 3/8" is too big or not, inside of the window track almost seems to be 5/16"

But I feel like I'm getting close now that I know what it's called to be searching.

You might want to try your local auto parts store and take a piece of the old one with you. They may be able to order the correct size.

That looks like the stuff that used to be used in the roll up window frame of cars. The cars these days I think use rubber instead of felt. That also may be an item that a shop specializing in restoring old cars might have.

Check McMaster Carr, they are an industrial suppler.
