My 1996 BobCat with a Peugeot engine won't Start

The machine is stored in a heated garage right now. I will check the belt to see if it had jumped a tooth or more.

could the aux. hyd. be stuck on?

Strange it will only start at low throttle, it should start anywhere.
Just how much water did you get in? did it get to the pump at all? its possible the pump is damaged causing it to run poorly....... Not something you want to hear though,

Or even something with the govenor, if its not governing properly, it could stall as the load changes? Sadly this too is inside the pump.

I'm sure it has something to do with fuel pressure. I'm checking the timing belt and also the injectors and see what happens after that. Thanks for getting back to me.

I finally got the machine running smooth and a big thanks to all your guys for your suggestions. When I bought this machine they told me they had installed a new timing belt but they only adjusted it and didn't replace it. It had jumped about four teeth, I'm surprised it had started at all. Thanks so much for your help. Excellent form.

Wow, you are lucky. If it was too far out, the valves would have touched the pistons.
Good to hear you had a win, they are an excellent engine.

just a note .good job getting it running.i dont want rain on youre parade but. keep in mind the PUKEO eng as those of us in the indursy refer to it. was origannly designed as gas was adapted to dskill. there is a reason it was only put on 751 for two years. sevral issues it is famous for.1 breaking those stud on right side at valve cover.2snapping the cam in half.3 if you run it out of fuel the injection is ussualy done.4 we call the air cleaner the snorkel if you get it in water it sucks into eng. placement was brillant. ther is a kubota conversion kit but it will cost you. if i may suggest. if it runs its worth something in trade or auction dont sell to a freind. get out before the other shoe drops and she has no value.

local dealear can order, it comes with eng,newstat mount houseing (big black thing that mounts eng and stat fly wheel end) and sevtal other parts . its the better part of 2 days to do. not fun.:
