I have a Erickson 2548, same as a Ford cl-20, that I likely spun a rod or main brg in. Can I just tow it into the shop or do I need to loosen the chains or something else to tow it. Thanks, Ken

Remove and cap the lines attached to the drive motors. Leave the fittings open on the motors so they will rotate freely. Trying to rotate the wheels without the pumps operating will severely load the pump vanes and other hydraulic components. Never mind the flat spots you will put on the bottom of the tires!!

So do I pull and cap the feed or output lines? Thanks for the reply Don.

Both of them. You want to let the motors freewheel. When you get the machine where you will work on it, you can reattach the hyd lines so you keep the system clean.
