Melroe Bobcat 600

Anybody know what is the preferable fluid to use in the hydraulic system on an old Melroe 600? I have heard everything from AW32 hydraulic oil, ATF, 10w40, etc. What are you guys using in these older machines? Thanks for your help......

It is the same as a 610 and atf was recommended for it. I don't think a thicker oil like 10-40 would work very good in cold weather on those clutches. You would have to put a lot more pressure on them.

Anybody know how to decipher the year of one of these old Melroes? Serial number is 71386.

Look down in this forum, that question with a phone # was answered a few days ago.

The manual says 10w-30 in the hydraulics.
