Hey Guys
I am new to this forum, and I want to see if anyone can point me in the right direction. My buddy Bill has a Mahto L-1300 skidsteer and it has had some problems in the past but has always been a strong machine. I am not a skidsteer mechanic, but I have been an automotive and heavy truck mechanic in the past. But I have never really worked on a skidsteer. That being said he need this thing to feed his cows (more in the fall and winter) and I would like to help him if I can.
The lift bucket loader and right-side controls work normally. But the left-side barely moves the machine forward or backward and bogs down the engine badly. Also, the fluid level rises a lot in the fill tank to the point it will come out the fill hole. I believe that the drive motor or brake may be locking up and causing the problem.
I cannot find a manual for this machine so if anyone know where I can get a manual or what skidsteer machine may be similar that would be a great help.
I'm not going to get back to his farm until June 23rd to take it apart, but I'd like to have some ideal about what I'm getting into.
