M500

Help Support SkidSteer Forum:

I am in Cleveland,tn. u.s.a.
I converted my 500 to a chain drive so far so good, anyway I have a jack shaft pulley(no jack shaft) and some parts for the variable speed sheave anyone need them. I would rather someone use them than scrap them.

I emailed you and have not heard back maybe it went to your span file? Dave cell 727 421 7072
we talked and he needed parts with tapered shafts mine are straight shaft parts so they are still available if someone needs them, thinking about removing all the control valving for vari speed also if someone needs that system too. I have it hosed around so do not dead head hydros.

I have checked around here and no one wants to take it on as to making a new unit from scratch, do you know of a shop that might have prior experience with reconditioning one?
My M500 has a variable drive from a M610, it's a spline as opposed to a keyway. Mounts with no trouble, got it from Bobcat for around $700, there should be used ones available. Mine egged the keyways out so bad it had to be replaced. Also, I went to all the trouble and expense of getting a running motor out of a farm sprayer, switched the flywheels and stator, must have been the age because it didnt run 6 months and the magnets came out of the flywheel again and ruined those parts, I pulled everything from the flywheel, have to charge the battery every other month or so now.

the only thing I have heard of that would dislodge magnets in a flywheel is a sharp impact but adhesives can let loose, as far as a conversion my 500 is still going with a chain drive single speed. but I did add add a grapple to the bucket
