Lx885 hyd leak top of hyd motor, cause? control arm won't budge

so far I've narrowed down the hydraulic fluid leak, (that's recently gotten much worse and I can no longer ignore by just dumping more in), to coming out the top of hyd motor, right under the motor plate cam shaft. Wanted to take off the control arms to get a better look at the situation, but can't make it budge!...............question 1: how is that puppy holding on so tightly? rusted on? do I need to heat up the control arm to get it off or is their something special that I don't know? also do I need to worry about keeping the alignment exactly the way it is now?................question 2: possible causes for this leak would be...? any chance if I get to the top of the hyd motor that there's a simple fix like some new sealant or tighten a bolt or is it likely I'll need to have it "rebuilt"............tricky/ very tight to work on the lx885 with the cab down, and apparently no easy way to raise the cab without the special jacks. there's impressively little info out there on the interweb about fixing these things and the manual is rather lean. any help would be appreciated I have a picture for reference but I'm not seeing an option to upload it.
