lx 885 no power to instrument cluster

Does anyone have an ideal what could be causing lack of power to the instrument cluster on my lx885? My buddy jumped a relay in fuse box to start and run it but still no power. I just bought machine with blown engine, put new engine in so I don't know much about it.Any suggestions would be helpful.

I'd start by checking all the fuses, even the fuse holder for corrosion too.
You will then need to trace power from the battery back to the cab, see if its lost in a wire or most commonly, a connector.
Are you sure the ignition switch isn't at fault? they can and do go bad?

Could be a faulty seat switch. The instrument cluster should light up as soon as you sit on the seat. Or, check the service/run switch. If it is in the service position the instrument panel is bypassed, but the hydraulic controls should also be locked out.

As it says start in the cab checking under the seat switch and seat belt switch then service/run switch.

Remove the instrument panel. You should power at pin 14, R/LTGN, of the connector at all times. If not, check the 15A fuse in the engine compartment fuse panel. It should be the bottom fuse in the fuse block closest to the engine.
You should have power to pin 12, O, of the connector when the key switch is on. If not check the 5A fuse in the cab fuse panel next to your head on the right side.
You should have power at pin 4, T/W when you sit in the seat. If not, check the 5A fuse in the engine compartment fuse panel. It is the second from the bottom on the fuse block closest to the engine. If that is ok then check the seat switch, wiring, and service run switch. Service/Run switch must be in run position.
You should have power at pin 11, LTGN, when you fasten the seat belt. Power goes from the seat swtich to the seat belt buckle and from there to the instrument panel.

Correct a typo. The R/W goes to the ignitions switch and is powered by the 15A fuse I mentioned in the previous post. The R/LTGN wire is powered by the 5A fuse in the engine compartment fuse panel. The same fuse which poweres the seat switch and seat belt.

Thank you for the input I will try all suggestions. You guys should also know the machine runs and operates with no safety switches i guess other than you need to be in seat to start. all hydraulics and lights

Ok thanks for all the input. I had a bad cluster and a couple seat switches.boom and bucket solenoid were removed, seatbelt switch bypassed. Went to lyodd miller and sons in corunna and was very pleased with service and info. They spent at least 2 hours helping me figure out and how to test everything. Have nothing but great thing to say about there mechanics.
