Hi all, I have a problem with my LS150. The pedals are locked (won't move at all) and therefore I cannot move the boom up or down. I can start the machine with out the seat belt locked, however the lights on the dash panel flash for the seatbelt and handbrake. I got the machine for free and got it picked up, so I don't know if there's a trick to it. It drives forward and back, and the 4in1 works but the boom won't move? Is there something I'm missing? I've read on here that it may be the seatbelt switch, but it does start and run without it, so it may be something else?

So just an update.........after reading through every related post, it seems that it may in fact be one of the switches, seat, seatbelt, handbrake. I traced the power source and there is power in the last joiner before it splits into the seperate switches and then nothing. So after reading some more, I took off the solenoid cover (the transmission tunnel cover between the footwells) and am going to run power direct (with an in line switch) to the wires joining the foot pedal solenoids. This way, I bypass all possible points of breakdown, and as long as I have a switch, the battery will not go flat, and I have a form of theft detterent as well. If anyone has a better way, please let me now. With my limited electrical knowledge, I think this will work. I'll update once I get a result.

How in the world did you get this machine for free? If you can start it with the seat belt unbuckled the service/ run switch must be in service? Do you know where the switch is? On some of the newer ones i think it is concealed under a cover up above on the right hand side. It would be easier to fix the circuit problem than run another wire plus it is a safety thing that might save you from being crushed someday. If you run another wire and are hooking up a attachment and go to get out of the machine you could step on a pedal and cause the boom to rise or fall.

I was owed money from a mate, and this was in exchange for payment. You're right, it is in service mode. Only way it will start. I totally agree with you about the safety aspect, but how do I check if the seat belt switch or handbrake switch is the problem? I asume that with the seat switch I can jump bridge the wires? But what about the other 2? Is there a secret to finding out where the breakdown is?

sit in the seat with belt unbuckled start in service, buckle the belt and switch to run see what happens. The boom and bucket are always locked out in service mode. keep us posted
