I check my hudraulic oil before each use of my 751. I try to keep it to the top mark on stick. since i am clearing cedars with sheer i usually break or loosen a fitting every day or so. I added oil and the screen was there then a couple days later I had to add oil again. The lower 3/4 of the screen was gone and it appeared it had cut with a knife or something. What is going on, did the rough tarrain cause it to fail or what? Is it a problem since there is down stream brass fliter just outside the bottom of the tank? Any ideas. Thank you in advance for your help. The unit has 1500 hours and i bought it used about 2 years ago with 1250 hours on it.

Is the neck of the funnel you use to fill the tank longer than the screen? If so you may have pushed the bottom of the screen off by resting the bottle of fluid on the funnel.
