larger alternator 4625? regulator too

is there an upgrade path to a 80 or 100a alternator for these guys? between lighting and electric heat - the factory 35a is not cutting it.

also my voltage regulator is bad (old brick thing that was plugged in), id like to find one internally regulated/self exciting if at all possible.

I would take the alt. off and take it to a alternator /starter repair shop and ask them if they know of a alt. that will go to the existing mounting attachment points with as little as possible fab. work. there is a lot of old school delco 1 wire alt. out there in the 70 to 80 amp range.

i might pull the alt here and measure it, i found the old alts you are talking about so if the bolt pattern is close... i may order one
