Are these diesels prone to the cavitation problems that pit or rust through the cylinder liners or bore of the engine block?
I was just wondering how critical it was to keep the antifreeze tested or how often it should be changed? Some diesels have such heavy liners that they never rust through and others (ie 7.3 l itre ford/international pickup engine) are quite prone to this.

Well i can't speak for the Isuzu engines, but the Kubota engines i have dealt with run a dry liner for the piston bores, these sleeves are about 5mm thick. Being a dry liner they are pressed into another hole that has to be about the same thickness again, i can't see there being a corrosion problem with them at all. With the anti-corrosion i would be more concerned with the aluminum housings and the radiator.
