Injector pump

Help, I have narrowed my 240 down to the fuel shutoff solenoid. The bolts on top are some torx 5 points which the heads are completely stripped out, so I am trying like hell to get the Stanadyke pump remove so as to replace it with a rebuild. It has 3 bolts that mount the pump to the block, the lower one seem impossible to get a wrench on. Does any body have some good advise? My knuckles are starting to show some flesh.

As the heads are stripped out, can you weld a bolt to them? or even use a coal chisel to turn them?
I don't know what access is like, but generally there is a way to get them out.

The stripped out torx head screws are in there tight. I guess I'll give the chisel a try. I can't believe they design a the skid steer so that you have to yank the motor replace a fuel pump. I even try to remove the fuel tank, and it also looks like it is tucked partially under the motor. Thank for the advise.

In their defense, it's rare to have to change the fuel tank, so being under the engine isn't an issue, and it's also rare for an injector pump to need attention.
Worst case, how had is it to pull the engine?

I've had to cut many wrenches just to weld them back in some goofy configuration. I would advise cutting the box end off of a cheap wrench and welding it back together so you might be able to grab the bolt to remove it. Can you grab the heads of the 5 point screws with vise grips?? I'd try that too. Before you do, soak them in penetrating oil. No point breaking the heads off, if avoidable.

welcome to working on kid loaders doesnt matter the brand they are all the same too much stuff in to small of space. like mmsllc said you have to be ready to modify wrenches or buy special wrenches. I would try to pound on the end on the bolt with a punch if possible. Can you get on the stripped bolts with one of those spiral damaged bolt sockets
