Industrial Tine Grapple

I have an older tine grapple with the square teeth that slips through the back of the bucket and is secured with a roll pin. I have taken two of the tines out to repair them. Is there any reason when I put them back in not to just weld them where they come throught the rear of the bucket. They are already rust froze in the square channels and were not moving anyway. Thanks for the help.

That's what I'd do. If they ever need rework, just cut them off.
