how do you remove the flex pin to get the tooth off the shank? is there a special tool i should buy?
Many of them are a split pin with rubber in between. A regular punch usually works. If the teeth are close together they sell a curved punch to get around them. If too difficult take the torch and burn the rubber out assuming you are putting new pins inIt should bust be a roll pin? so a pin punch should get it out.

They make a u or z shaped punch for doing it. When I did our hoe bucket I took a long punch and bent an arc to it so it would go over the adjoining teeth. I would think you could burn the rubber out. It might be a stinky smoky job. When putting the pins back in I usually use a vise grips or pliers to squeeze the pin togetherhey guys so just picked up this hoe today https://scontent.fbed1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/28279542_10160468896465713_3770065420748685515_n.jpg?oh=20fe5a83b5181e3ef78abe500d545ffa&oe=5B111052 it needs teeth. so i bought them. gonna put them on this weekend. can i just take a plumbing torch and melt the rubber and tap them out? they are so close together idk if i can find a punch that will work for them. kinda wierd the backhoe is in almost perfect condition and it needs teeth.
