743 's had tow valves that could be removed so you can move it around. I think they mean't removing the two high pressure relief valves in the center section of the Hydrostatic pumps, if they are taken out and the caps put back on then the machine will freewheel around if pushed .

The tow valves are parts that you would put in after removing the high pressure relief valves.
Depending on how far you need to move it and what surface it on you have several choices.
Brute force and drag it, it may help to have the steering levers held in the direction of travel or if its on pavement soapy water to let slide.
Remove the hoses on the drive motors and install a hose between the ports to let the oil cycle thru. Anyway you go its a slow process.
As kind of a follow-up question, what area can you hook a chain to on the front and/or back to tow the Bobcat or maybe have the Bobcat tow something else?
On the back, there are braces for the axle tubes, they have holes cut in them for securing the machine, i use them for towing. For the other way, i have a hook on my bucket that i use for lifting and dragging.

Anyone got the dimesions of the tow valves, I would like to make a set? I have asked this question before but got no replies so it seems these things are rather scarce.
It could be because they are so darn expensive, if they are even still available from the dealer. I think it would be nice to have them too.
I wonder how it would operate without any valves in it at all? Just remove the relief and spring and replace the plug...... In theory it would allow the oil to move where ever it needs to go.

Ok it worked! This will be probably the only time I'll be able to offer info rather than asking for it... One of the high pressure valve thingies didn't want to come out so I rocked the machine back and forth and it sort of poped it out. You should have someone else ready themselves to grab it when it pops it's little head out. Watch your feet...tee hee. I didn't have the tool but someone told me to use a welding rod etc. I tried something similar to that size and diameter. I made two about 10" long. Just stick it in until you feel a valve inside move back and forth and sort of make a cool ppffting sound. I had to make a little wedge to place behind the rod to keep it in place but it worked. Get them both lodged in place and it should free wheel. Be sure to have a small animal or something to use as a wheel chock because it will want to roll. It'll spits fluid out of the holes when you move it but that's a small issue. Thanks again!
