HI all, im new to this site and im hoping someone can help with my problem.... I have just purchased a Gehl 3835 . While replacing a leaking hose i somehow managed to press the left foot pedal down .. The pedal is now stuck all the way down in toe position and cannot be pushed back..I dont have an owners manual and im not sure if this is a mechanical fault or a float feature on the machine... Any help would be greatly apreciated.

Sounds like it is stuck in "float" but gental pressure with your heel should release it. The detent balls in the lift spool of the hydraulic valve must be getting rusted up and jambed inside the cap.

Thank you for the info Ken. Is there a way to fix this without pulling the hydraulic valve out? I just replaced the hydraulic oil , will i loose much of it doing this?

You were right on the money Ken.. I loosend off the two 3/8" ball retaining bolts and the shaft popped out.. The balls and the springs in the cap were rusty so i replaced them and cleaned everything out and re assembled it works like a charm.... Now on to the other anoying litlle problems like oil leaks ,couple of worn pins and bushes, worn tyres........... Thanks again for your help!!

Have seen it on a few bobcat brand loaders, but the detents work the same and it seems they are prone to rust. Hope you greased it well, I should have mentioned that.
Must not have been to tough to acess?, They are a bear on most bobcats.

Yes mate i put a bit of grease in there for good measure...Hopefully it wont give me dramas again any time soon.., It wasnt to hard to get to , bit tight to get tools in but all up it took about 30-40 minutes to do the job from start to finish... Cheers Jack
