Looking for a little guidance here...my alternator is not charging and the indicator light is on. Note- previous and brand new alternator don't charge. I have 12v on the red wire from the battery always. When I turn the key on I have 12v to the green/blue, green/red and black/yellow wires that plug into the alternator. I also have 12v to a red wire not plugged into anything. 4 total wires going into the alternator with 12v and one wire hanging loose with 12v. The wiring diagram shows 3 wires (not 4) going to the alternator.. Ground is all ok. Any suggestions of where to start checking?
