Hello - new to this forum - I have a Gehl 2500 and 2600 question is how do you burp or purg the air from the hydro trans after removel and installation? I had to remove to replace a roll pin which sheered. Reinstalled and cannot get the pump to work. I know the pump is good. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Rich

I found just running it purged the air, how long has it been running since you did the work?

I have it up on blocks. Ran it for 15 min or so and it is not moving at all , not even a little. How long can the trans pump be ran without hurting the unit? History - I have 2 machines a 2500 and a 2600. Bought the 2600 after the Onan motor in the 2500 finally gave up the ghost. 2600 shered a roll pin. Removed and reinstalled the hydro trans x 2. The first removal to replace roll pin. The hydro would turn the wheels but ver very slow. Also would not lock in to enable turning. I ran the machine around the yard several times over different days trying to purg the air. No luck. Removed the hydro trans and replaced it yesterday with the one out of the 2500. Same exact pump, bolt and eveything. Just a little older Hydro build date. The Hydros in the 2500 worked great prior to the engine locked up due to being worn out. After install yesterday- the hydo does not power the wheel at all. Thank you in advance on any assistance or knowledge anyone can pass on.

I'm not liking the fact you have no drive at all. Every time i have done pump work, so there was a lot of air in the system, the wheels still moved and took time to fully purge it.
Don't keep running it, 15 minutes without movement isn't a good sign. Can you crack a line to a drive motor and operate the steering lever for that side and see if you can get it to pump oil out.
