Looking for advice on how to remove the injector pump. I removed the 3 retaining nuts, as well as the governor cable and found the pump will move about one half inch than stop. After reviewing the parts manual, I see there is a retaining nut on the end of the pump drive shaft so I removed the access plate to the gear sump on the aft end of the injection pump and removed the end nut. There are also 4 bolts on the gear. Do I take those off also and then the gear will slide off? Seems like a nightmarish re-assembly job unless I remove the radiator so I can see if everything is lining up afterwards. Thanks

Disregard... Out of desperation, I pulled the 4 bolts off the end gear and the pump came right out. That looks like I should expect some cuss words trying to put it back together. Tough design but everything has to be compact to fit in such a machine.

Hopefully it will go back in as easy :)
Just not sure how you are meant to get the timing right, hopefully there is a mark on it to make it easy.
