This skid steer will start right away and then quit when the switch goes from start to on….. you can do this several times and suddenly it will run. I replaced the ignition switch and no change…..

i assume that your skid steer is made like many others out there, there is two relays and coils that turn your fuel on and off, one opens the fuel circuit and the other one holds it open ,then the first one turns off but the valve is still held open by the second one. usally you can hear the open relay and coil kick in. since you replaced the key switch this would be what I would check next.

Have u owned this loader, or just bought it? several things that can cause this problem make sure your fuses & fuse holders have no corrosion if they do clean the contacts & replace the fuses, also the wires on the ignition switch have to be installed on the proper post, if the wire that is suppling the control module (it controls your fuel solenoid) thru the ignition post is installed on the accessory post, it will have those symptoms, simply because with the key in start position the ignition is the only post that carries any voltage, the accessory is dead till the key comes back to run, so therefore u are not getting voltage to the run side of the fuel solenoid
