Someone else in here did that too, i can't remember the fix but it can be done. Worst case call your dealer and they can tell you what you need to do. From memory you can do it your self, you don't need to take the machine to the dealer (or get them out with a laptop).

I was rite, you need a master password.
Stuz helped out last time. The thread can be seen here:

The computor can work with several passwords , ony one is the master , the one you have been using may not have even been the master , the code can be had from the dealer by giving them your serial number

seems ridiculous to make it that easy to render the machine completely inoperable. my machine is an enclosed cab model. if i had had the arms slightly lower i would have been trapped inside and had to pop out an emergency glass to get out. any hoo if anyone can maybe ask this stuz fellow if maybe he could give this thread a look see and run my serial for the master passcode i would really appreciate it. the serial is 527717961 thanks so much for being so helpful everyone.

A keyed pannel from any other bobcat will now start your loader. As for the master pass word you need to contact the dealer in person and prove id, if the pass words are given out for instance just over the web or phone how easy would it be for some one to read a serial number on a job site ect and come back and operate or steal your loader.I will be very disapointed if someone to access to this info posts it so freely over the web to annomous users.

well not me at this point. my bucket is hanging over some womans front porch right now. that is a valid point though. however you would have to have had the owners password to even access the downgrade option as it is under owner utilities.

Yes it is easy to access the downgrade option only once you have access pass words to the machine.I have done the same thing as you and was stuck on site in the middle of no where.I contacted a dealer and explaind my situation to him ,he then asked me to put it in writing and fax it to him with a copy of my licence.i then recievd a return fax with tne pass word to access the pannel. it was explained to me if i borrow a keyed pannel from any bobcat it will now work. If you remove the key pad without downgrading a keyed pannel will not work and with out the passwords the delux pannel is useless. It is a security feature and info regarding pass words should be kept private.By the sound of it you have your machine i a strange position to be playing with options on the key pad,in most cases you can use the manual pressure release valve to lower the bucket/arms to get out.

it wouldnt have been a big deal had it happened on a week day. all i had to do was contact the salesperson who sold me the machine from the dealership and he was able to give it to me over the phone. but anyway thanks everyone for the insight. its nice to hear im not the only cat curiosity killed.
