My anti-freeze has been in there for about four years so I figured it was time for a change. I measured what I took out about 15 quarts, the capacity is 18 quarts according to the manual. I put back about 15 quarts in about a 60/40 mix anti-freeze to water. The question is does this system get air locks, I'm hearing gurgling noises now when I shut down, seems to be running okay. Not overheating. But, I haven't run it that long either. Just don't know if this particular system needs to be "burped". By the way this is an 1840

Generally you run the machine without the radiator cap to circulate the coolant and top it off as needed.

Did that, did not see much of a change. However I did run it long enough to feel the coolant beginning to get hot to the touch so I guess it's circulating. Still gurgles a bit on shutdown, guess it'll take a bit to work out all the air.
