Case 440 Dies when lap bar lifted; also hot no start issue

Hi all, 1st post. I have a 2008 440 Series 3 that has treated me wonderfully for 650 hours but has developed 2 (unrelated??) issues I need some help with: 1) Engine dies whenever I lift the lap safety bar. The safety interlock switch on the lap bar seems to be functioning properly (the seatbelt symbol turns on/off whenever the bar is up/down). 2) Hot no start. Engine starts right up when cold. But after it reaches operating temp and I shut off the engine, sometimes it won't restart for a few hours. Sometimes it restarts right away. It always cranks very strong, just sometimes doesn't start. I 'hotwired' the fuel shutoff solenoid to the cigarette lighter fuse but this didn't help. Case wants $420 to diagnose problem, so any guidance is appreciated!!

Hello - i have a 440 with exactly the same issue. Dies when warm only when you raise the safety bar. Sometimes it starts right back up; sometimes have to wait for a minute. Any suggestions or hopefully someone can reply what fixed james143 issue posted in 2020?? Appreciate the help. Andy
