Case 40xt skid steer no drive

I used my casr 40xt parked it and went to get it the other day and the arms move and the tilt on the bucket works but no drive...any idea on where to start? Was wondering if a sensor or my lap bar still had the prking break on but there is no motor change ...its like it's not communicating with the joy stick.no lights on... Any help would be appreciated.

Sticks are a mechanical connection to the servo controls if my memory serves. But at the servos I think there are solenoids to enable them to work. Are the sticks moving in when you lower the lap bar?

Res they both move backwards and forward...neither of them work. The motor doesn't big down or change.

Yes they both move backwards and forward but just no forwardor backwards tire or motor engagement. ..neither side work. The motor doesn't bog down or change.

I would say that the most likely cause is that you lost your input drive for the main hydrostatic pump. The drive coupler and/or shaft splines could have stripped. Not terribly uncommon. The gear pump for the hydraulic lift is mounted by itself, so it would still function. Let me know if you need parts!

is it common to be using it park it and then when you start it to use it the next time nothing happens like that?

Not necessarily, but the spline engagement could have been on the verge of failing last time the machine was used. The splines see the most torque at start-up and at high system pressure.

If the arms and bucket are operable, then it is unlikely that any splines are stripped in the pump group. My memory is foggy but I am pretty sure that the equipment pump is last in line of the pumps, implying that if the arms and bucket work, the ground drive pumps are turning also.

The 40XT has a cover plate on the back of the hydrostatic pump. The gear pump is mounted independently of it.

So is there another place i should be looking also? I'll know more when I can get it moved and the cab pulled. Any and all info woukd be appreciated. Thank you already to those who have given me info!!!!

I am not familiar with that machine but here are the first things I would check.

If it was working fine with no problems, and then you left it and came back to it not working there is a chance that rodents have gotten in and chewed some wiring. Especially if it was cold out where you left it, they are attracted to the warmth.

There is a recent post on here that was very similar to this one and rodent had done just that.

Did parking light on left side upper display panel go out when you lower arm?
If it stayed on then lift cab and take a look at how the arm works and trouble shoot linkages and electrical from there. Also if your remove floor there will be a cable going through inner chain drive housings with what looks like little stick shift booties on them. They are the parking brake cables that engage the lock for brakes. I uploaded electrical diagram if needed.
