Case 1835C Electrical Trouble

I have a 1991 Case 1835C Diesel Uni-Loader. I had the machine running a few weeks ago and thought i was low on fuel so shut it off. After I filled up, I tried to get it started again to no avail. I was blowing the main 30A fuse under the seat a few times then after looking around for shorts it wasn't even blowing fuses anymore. I assumed it was the starter so I removed that, and brought it to be rebuilt. The guy said that the starter was good so i moved on. I bought a new ignition switch thinking that might be it and installed. Still no luck. I just removed the alternator to get it tested and they can't seem to find a "Duralast" part number to cross reference it. Everything on this machine is original. This afternoon I jumped the Starter and it turned over no problem. My thoughts now are maybe the starter solenoid? I've put almost too many hours into troubleshooting already so i'm about ready to bring it to the dealership but figured id make a lasdt ditch effort and see if anyone here could help. So, any insight would be GREATLY appreciated! -Andrew

Ok, when you jump the starter, it spins, but does it start?
I'd suspect the fuel shut off solenoid. If it was shorted it would blow the fuse till it burnt out and would be open. If it isn't working, no fuel gets to the pump and it will simply not start.
Is that an option?

We've got radiator and fan all off for access so we didn't try to jump it for too long. Just long enough to see the starter turn. When I turn the key, nothing happens. No click, no burnt fuses (anymore), nothing. So I'm pretty convinced this is a solely electrical problem. It was running great up until it died lol

If it cranked, i'd have thought the ground must have been ok from the battery to the frame.
Grounding could be the issue, but for it to be totally dead seems odd. How do the fuse holders look? You did test the fuses with a meter, not just by eye?
Possibly probe around for +12v too, start with the key switch then work back from there.

Curious what you found to be the problem. I have an 1987 1835C and was out working today, idled the machine down to through a couple logs in the bucket and sat back down and it died. No electrical signal at all when I turned the key on...no lights, no buzzers....nothing. Appreciate the help. Thanks, Mark
