I have a 2007 T320 that when you push the start button the starter engages for just a second and stops. I have to hit the stop button to try to start it again with same results. Replaced the relay but it was clicking every time I push the start button. The fuel shut off solenoid only opens for that split second and when the starter stops the fuel solenoid close. I can take the new fuel solenoid off and jump the starter and it will start and run. I did a test on the buttons from the screen and all worked. All fuses are good, connections cleaned. New items are, Battery, starter, fuel solenoid, and relays. What else can I try? this started all the sudden, have had no issues. V3800 T2 engine. Thanks

I'm wondering if the seed sensor could be bad, if it detects that the engine is not spinning, it will stop trying?
I have never worked on a machine as new as yours with push to start, i don't believe it's a switch issue, as it knows you pressed it, it's something that controls the starter crank time that is the problem, that is why i was wondering about the speed sensor.
You may want to call your local dealer and ask for advise, they are generally good with giving ideas over the phone.

I had ex bobcat mechanic come out and look at the machine. He put a different computer in to make sure all was good there and it was. Then he cut into wiring harness back further from the full shut off harness and exposed a resistor of some type soldered into the factory harness. I could not get any number of the resistor. He said all I needed was a wiring harness and said it would only be $300.00. The harness is over 3K. Any ideas on the size of this resistor? Thought I would solder a new on in and go from there.

I see this issue all the time, I think you're on the right track however I would be surprised if the resistor is your issue, are you sure you checked the relays in your fuse box? Swap your fuel relay with another relay and see what happens. 95% of the time the relay is the issue for me. As previously stated the computer needs to see engine RPM and a feedback from the fuel pull solenoid for the starter to continue to turn the engine over. If that doesn't work let me know when I can walk you through the rest of it.

I did replace the relays with new relays from Bobcat (Fuel pull, Starter) both the old ones did check good but replaced anyway. I know the resistor is bad because he broke it trying to jump around it and he was never able to make it work. I cant get any kind of number or ohm off of it. I know I need to get this replaced before I go any further and the so called ex bobcat mechanic is of no help now.

According to the schematic that is actually a diode not a resistor.

I see it now in the schematic. Across 8100 (B wire power to the pull) and 2800 (C wire that is ground) on the fuel solenoid. It was hard to tell because it was broken and I'm no electronic wizard. How do I find out what diode to order? Local Bobcat is no help in my area.

As far as I can tell it's built into the harness and there's no information on it in any of the manuals or parts manuals. Is it completely destroyed? Are you able to remove it and take it to your local electronics store and match it up. I would imagine you just need something close to make it work.

I will give that a try. Not many options on electronics in a small town. I did a web search on (bobcat Diode) several hits, but no info on size or what they were for. Thanks for your time on this. If i get this figured out I will give an update.

Would you happen to know what the hold voltage would be after open for the fuel solenoid?
