My father has a 751 with the pug xud. It's not running and I've been through all the "common" items. Looking to repower. I know about the Kabotas but they turn the wrong way. I have a chance at a Yanmar 4TNV86 out of a reefer for less than an injection pump rebuild for the pug. It turns the correct way. Any reasons outside maybe governor issues? Anybody repower these with anything else? He doesn't use it much or heavily. Thanks.

As far as im aware, Yanmar turn the same way as a Kubota does, the pug is the odd one out.

As for rotation, you can flip parts inside your pumps to fix that issue.

What is wrong with the XUD9? they are a very nice engine, just expensive to repair...

You are correct, very pricey, and if you can find parts. I may do a bit more digging. I have a brother that lives in Germany, I know the cars are different but maybe he can find some sources. ill probably end up pulling the motor, there are a number of leaks and other things that have been piling up over the years. As good of a time as any. Thank you for the reply.

Just as an aside I was looking for parts on FB marketplace and I found a diesel motor out of a 1984 mazda B2200. It still had the odometer hooked to it with 75k on the clock, it wasn't locked up and from what I understand it's a Japanese built Perkins. $100 exchanged hands and now I have another project lol.

Do they make a kit the reporter the 751 to a kubota? I have a kubota and my pug is blown up. I have been looking for used 753 parts
