As I mentioned before I am going through my 743 as time permits and for quite some time my left stick feels like it doesn't really engage the drive motor. I am unsure if it is the Drive Motor however I find no metal in the fluid and I hear no grinding. It does engage a little it feels like but I just cant tell. I have attached the link to the old discussion/thread below of what I am tracking down. You can see when I jerk the left stick it doesnt bounce the machine as one would expect but it does do it to the right. I will check the brake thing out this weekend to see if in fact that might be it as mentioned in the other thread. http://www.skidsteerforum.com/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabid=54&frmView=AddPost&ForumID=1 I have attached a old link of me operating the machine to try to give an idea. I maybe even posted it some time ago below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YA-VaYbgBA&feature=g-upl&context=G2184646AUAAAAAAAAAA Reading other threads it seems it can be the linkage, the chain off the pulley, broken pulley or chain, the drive motor or the pump or a host of other things such as the brake lever on. The pump seems ok for all other actions and operating the machine. I assume my best option is a general inspection of everything to rule anything obvious out such as a chain off pulley. It seems there are two covers on the side of the machine to access the drive motors but I dont see any bolts that would allow me to get the covers off? So I guess in all I am asking: 1. how to get the side access to drive motors covers come off? 2. What should I do to check the linkage for proper operating? 3. Is there an inspection plate for the chains and pulleys and where is it / how does it come off/ what am I looking for? It just gives the feeling like I have almost no power when pushing the left lever and then when i push the right the machine takes off. There is also a loud whining noise when I engage the left stick. you can hear it at the link.
