Bobcat 642B backhoe model

Help Support SkidSteer Forum:

The mounts that I ordered don't seem to fit. Where does the large pin go through? Does anyone have a picture of this setup?
Which style of mounts did you get? If they are similar to the ones that I pointed out on ebay, the backhoe mounts hook over top of the T-shaped section and then the pin slides through the mount on the backhoe on the forward side of the "T". The pins do not engage in any of the holes in the mount while the backhoe is attached. Making any sense? As far as pictures go, try searching in Google Images, you should see some photo's there.

I ordered the ones off eBay that you pointed out. I can't figure out where they bolt to the Bobcat. It seems that the framw isn't wide enough.

i think the ones you bought are for a bigger machine.....the ones for your machine bolt on at the front corners of the cab like this: http://i.ebayimg.com/t/BOBCAT-751-753-763-to-607-709-backhoe-mounting-kit-6538707-skidsteer-loader-/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/$T2eC16FHJHoE9n3Kd3i,BQZLpsV)Bw~~60_35.JPG i'm not 100% sure on this but i'm pretty sure. i dont know if my bobcat 643 has that bolt pattern they may sell it with different patterns.

The backhoe hydraulic connectors won't fit on the auxilary hydraulics. Are there different sizes?
I'm going to have continue to look for the right mounting brackets.
your machine probably has the older style connectors. change them to the newer and much better flat faced couplers. they seal them self no contamination and no oil leakage. they are the way to go.

I'm guessing th new style couplers are only available from my Bobcat dealer.

but to be straight up my bobcat dealers prices have been right on with everything. no complaints at all, and it's all quality stuff.

I have a set of conversion adapters from Safeway Hydraulics that pop onto my Ag QD's to convert them to flat face. They were about the same price as a set of FF QD's, where Ag QD's are very inexpensive, and what I use on all the attachments I own. I use them with rental attachments so that I am not continually swapping QD's. BTW - sorry about the mix-up on the backhoe mounts. I guess I take it for granted that I can fab up what I need to make things work (This weekend I am turning a rototiller into an attachment.)

My 909 backhoe has the older Pioneer connectors. Here's a source for adaptive couplers with a Pioneer to Flat face adapters or whatever else you might need:
