thank for the reply Is there any bolts in the motor compartment I read in another reply that u had pic of your chain case removel if u could post them i would greatly appreciate it thank you again pezzmanI have never worked on a 642, but i suspect its the same basic principal as a 743.
Remove the bottom 2 bolts holding the pump to the chain case, remove the lift linkage under the pump. Support the pump with a bar and wire. Remove the 20 odd bolts holding the frame to the chain case Remove the drive motor hoses and jack the frame up and roll the chaincase out from under neath.
Make sure you use lifting gear that is rated to handle the load. The machine weighs 2 tonne, you don't want that falling on you!
I don't believe there are any in the engine bay, they are on the support plates that ware welded to the axle tubes. You will see about 5 on each plate at the axle tubes going through the main frame. These are the ones you need to remove. You will need to support the weight of the machine to allow the bolts to come out though (obviously).thank for the reply Is there any bolts in the motor compartment I read in another reply that u had pic of your chain case removel if u could post them i would greatly appreciate it thank you again pezzman
