Read somewhere on here about back-up cameras. I put a "CabCam" on my T-190 and LOVE IT. Big monitor, color, nice camera. Very stable/no shaking/easy to see the nice, clear image. About $300. Includes a short cable to camera(which is just right for a skid steer) and a LONG cable for semis, rv's ect. Kit is complete and easy to install. Monitor will run up to 3 cameras, with one camera being standard in the kit(additional cameras are $120). Friend had a cheapie $100 from a discount store, saw mine, and scrapped his and got a cabcam. As I said, image is stable with NO SHAKING. (I have camera mounted in upper edge of tailgate). I'd bet you all would LOVE it if you work in tight places/have to back up a lot. Had a mirror--certainly better than nothing, but wow, the cabcam is great!

Ok lets see some pics!

I'm not that "techy". It took me a long time to figure posting out. Do a google search of "CabCam". Image on monitor is crisp, clear, and bright. Also works in near-dark. It sees better than the naked eye does in low light. Sorry about the pics.

That was / is still my idea for blindspots on the old 9 series. Now just gotta find an old 9.... Thanks for the info Iowa Dave, didn't know they had industrial setups.

Where have you installed the camera? Is it in the hole where the reversing beeper goes or somewhere else?

Tried a couple of places. Top edge of tailgate works good. Throw away the cheesy swivel bracket and just use the u-shaped bracket that camera is attached to. In hole for back-up alarm wouldn't work as camera is slightly bigger than that hole, and has a wide side-to-side field of view so couldn't be back behind that hole--then would only work straight ahead. Monitor is pretty big. I have it mounted just right of center top front of cab. We never bump it getting in and out--we vice-gripped it in several places and crawled in and out until we found a spot that didn't interfere with entry/exit or seatbar. I took the plexiglass out of the roof, drilled through the criss-crossed lattice of roof steel under the glass for the two mounting bolts, installed the bracket, then put the glass back in place. What really amazes me is that, even in a tracked machine on frozen ground( ROUGH RIDE), the image isn't shaky at all. I've ordered another set up for another one of my machines. Be careful on a later model controller machine if you want to hard-wire it in (comes with a cig lighter plug). You can't just find 12 V any old place--it will screw up the controller (don't ask me how I know-- but I got lucky and didn't have to replace controller)
