Advice for first Skid Steer

I am looking to buy a used Skid Steer. I would like to spend around 5K. I am looking at a Gehl 360 1980. I need one for landscapping around the house. Will this model cut into a slope? Is it a good deal? Thanks, Brad

Well come to the forum.
As long as the machine is in good condition and has adequate power, it should be okay for landscaping. The key to getting good ground penetration with a skidsteer is the type of bucket that you use. If you are trying to dig undisturbed or hard packed dirt, you really need to use a toothed bucket. A smooth material bucket will not penetrate near as well.
