No, I'm not wealthy, and even poorer now that I retired 5 years early, but I need a decent wheeled skid steer to level a area to dig and pour a frost protected shallow foundation for the shop I want to build.. I figured a skid steer would be the most useful and I'm willing to spend some money as long as I can recoup most of the cost when I sell.
I assume this is a good place to ask for advice on used machines?
The barn is gone except for a crumbling foundation that I hoped I could break up and use as fill? Or if necessary, rent a jack hammer attachment..
So where should I start? The only thing I know about skid steers is nothing. Should I drive around and see what the pro's are running?
