763 Bucket positioning valve

After 2 hours plus of digging online, I have decided I do not have the right term for the component I need info on... Our 763 bucket positioning valve fittings rotted out on one side (the side buried under the frame, facing the bucket), and we just got the parts to replace the failed piece, and the rest on that side. The assembly we need just a bit of help with is a screw that holds a pin in the block, and has a plastic cap. Not the spool (no springs nor balls), just an adjustment screw. The dealer mentioned it is the float level setting, but when can I find a reference to set a starting point, in under three days? :-) I feel as though it is a simple "trick" one usually finds out about two weeks after doing it the hard way.... All suggestions welcome

For someone else trying to find info on this subject: A chat with the dealers mechanic with 17 years experience - never ran into this one - led him to hunt down their senior guy, and as hoped it was fairly simple... For clarity, this is not either of the spool valves, on the other side of the block. This is the set pin that adjusts the self-leveling feature for the bucket (part#6647777). The service manual doesn't, incidentally, provide any info on setting it. Reference numbers 14 thru 20 in the diagram for the bucket positioning valve for the older 763. "Assemble in the order shown in the diagram, then back out the set screw (part #6648293) until it sticks out 3/16" inch beyond the jam nut (part#8d4, formerly 6631561). Test leveling function by operating the machine, and adjust if necessary one full turn at a time" This setting got us pretty darned close, and since you have to take at lot apart to gain access to the set screw, and we don't actually use that feature, close enough is good enough, and victory has been achieved. Hope this saves someone else hours of digging someday.
